Crop Production Statistics and the quality of the grain harvest 2013, advance information

- The total grain harvest in 2013, i.e. 4.1 billion kg, increased by 13% from 2012. Barley accounts for half of Finland´s grain harvest.
- The total production of turnip rape increased from about 50 million kilograms to 52 million kg. The total production of rape decreased from 24 million kg to 29 million kg
- The potato harvest increased by 27%, and amounts to about 620 million kg.
- The total sugar beet harvest increased by27% from 2012 and is about 506 million kg.
- The total horse bean harvest decreased by 22% and its total production amounted 17 million kg.
- The quality of the grain harvest: The quality of the domestic harvest for bread and feed grains in 2013 was good.
