Other entrepreneurship in agriculture and horticulture, 2016 (provisional)

Nearly 14,000 farms were engaged in other business activities in addition to agriculture and horticulture in 2016.
The number of farms engaged in other business activities has decreased by roughly 2,900 farms since 2013.
Farms engaged in other business activities accounted for 28 per cent of all farms, while the corresponding figure in 2013 was 30 per cent.

Agricultural and horticultural enterprises spent roughly 8,800 person years on other business activities.
