Statistics on cereals purchase and used by industry and trade, Q3 2015

During the third quarter of 2015:

A total of 623 million kilos of cereals entered the market from farms .

• Proportion of wheat was 162 million kilos (26%).
• Proportion of rye was 55 million kilos (9%).
• Proportion of barley was 250 million kilos (40%).
• Proportion of oats was 156 million kilos (25%).

A total of 8 million kilos of rape and turnip rape entered the market from farms.

Industry in Finland used a total of 371 million kilos of cereals.

• 106 million kilos were used for food.
• 189 million kilos were used for feed.
