Volumes and prices in roundwood trade, 8/ 2015

  • In real terms, the stumpage price level was approximately 1 per cent higher in August 2016 than the average in 2015 (monthly prices deflated by using wholesale price index, 1949=100)
  • The price paid for pine logs in standing sales was EUR 53.1 per cubic metre,  and the price paid for spruce logs was EUR 55.3 per cubic metre. The price of logs harvested from regeneration felling areas was 3% higher than the average stumpage price paid for logs (thinnings 14% below the average price).
  • In August, the stumpage price of pine pulpwood was EUR 15.5 per cubic metre, and the price of spruce pulpwood was EUR 17.1 per cubic metre. The stumpage price differences from the average by felling method were as follows: pulpwood from regeneration felling +12%, from thinning –8%, and from first thinning –30%.
  • In August, the roadside price for pine pulpwood was  EUR 27,9 per cubic metre. The price for spruce pulpwood was EUR 29.5 per cubic metre and for birch pulpwood 28.1 EUR per cubic metre. Delivery sales are dominated by pulpwood.
