During the year 2018 (change from previous year in brackets)
- A total of 1.85 billion kilos (-2%) of cereals entered the market from farms, of which bread wheat 204 million kilos (-8%), feed wheat 281 million kilos (-10%), rye 62 million kilos (-29%), malting barley 156 million kilos (-11%), feed barley 508 million kilos (-2%) and oats 644 million kilos (+13%).
- A total of 70 million kilos (+4%) of rape and turnip rape entered the market from farms.
- Industry in Finland used a total of 1.35 billion kilos (-3%) cereals, of which 587 million kilos of cereals (-6%) were used for animal feed production, 422 million kilos (-1%) for food production and 340 million kilos (+1%) for other industrial production.
During the last quarter of 2018 (change from previous year in brackets)
- A total of 65 million kilos (+66%) of bread wheat entered the market from farms. Other purchases were following: feed wheat 60 million kilos (-29%), rye 13 million kilos (-16%), malting barley 31 million kilos (-21%), feed barley 131 million kilos (+37%), oats 194 million kilos (+25%) and rape and turnip rape 19 million kilos (-14%).
- Feed industry in Finland used 148 million kilos (-1%), food industry 109 million kilos (+2%) and other industries 85 million kilos (-3%).
At the end of year 2018 (change from previous year in brackets)
- Trade and industry stocks contained 140 million kilos (+5%) of wheat, 73 million kilos (-11%) of rye, 190 million kilos (+39%) of barley and 247 million kilos (+36%) of oats.
