Crop Production Statistics and the quality of the grain harvest 2018

In 2018, the grain harvest was 2.7 million tons, i.e. 20% lower than in the previous year.

  • Totalling 1.336,000 tons, the barley harvest decreased by 8%, i.e. 124,000 tons
  • Totalling  818,000 tons, the oats harvest decreased by 19%
  • Totalling 495,000 tons, the wheat harvest decreased by 38%, i.e. 307,000 tons
  • Totalling 42,000 tons, the rye harvest decreased by 63%
  • The potato harvest, 600,000 tons, decreased by 2%
  • The broad bean harvest (28,000 tons) was, almost 28% lower year-on-year
