Producer prices for fish 2020

- The producer price of Baltic herring intended for human consumption remained high and was EUR 0.32 per kg. The price of Baltic herring intended for industrial use, mainly used as fodder was EUR 0.18 per kg.
- The producer prices of pikeperch (EUR 5.92 per kg) and pike (EUR 2.05 per kg) declined compared to 2019 and thus ended an upward trend which had persisted for several years. The price of perch remained almost the same as in 2019 and was EUR 2.36 per kg.
- The producer prices of salmon (EUR 6.13 per kg), European whitefish (EUR 5.04 per kg) and brown trout (EUR 6.62 per kg) rose compared to year 2019.
- The producer prices of farmed fish declined in 2020. The producer price of farmed rainbow trout was EUR 4.35 per kg and the price of farmed European whitefish was EUR 10.32 per kg.
